What is meant by a digital system? It is an electronic system with sub-systems that talk to each other via digital protocols based on 0 and 1 and with the supervisory system supporting applications that are Internet Protocol compliant as well as conforming to the default x86 system architecture. Some systems are partially digital. Some older systems are not digital. This is technical and the progression from non-digital to partially-digital to truly digital is evolutionary. Customers are not expected to understand the definition but will benefit substantially from knowing if a building facility system is truly digital, partially digital, or not digital because this knowledge will lead to a better choice of vendor offerings.
